The Kochi Corporation proposes to form a two-tier advisory committee to support the Corporation in matters of urban renewal programmes which will be implemented under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM).

The committee will advise the civic body on technical matters.

The Cochin International Airport is in the process of finishing the new departure terminal. It will have duty-free shopping facility spread over an area of 14,000 square feet. The new terminal will become operational around October – November.
